Implementation of EWM with MFS integration

Participation in the Budweiser Budvar project was a great honour and challenge for us. The implementation of the SAP4/HANA system, led by NTT Data Business Solutions a.s., included a number of different components and we were approached to participate in the implementation of SAP EWM in the area of logistics and managed warehouses.

The key aspect of the implementation was the integration with an automated warehouse that supports receiving, shipping and internal logistics processes. The integration of this component was implemented using SAP MFS. It was also important to ensure the efficient operation of processes that were not as significantly impacted by automation, such as returnable packaging logistics. We are pleased that we were able to implement both parts of the project according to the customer's expectations. To meet the customer's specific requirements, our team also implemented a number of development requirements, particularly in the area of mobile applications for scanners.

The collaboration on the implementation of the SAP S/4HANA system, specifically the EWM module, which we had the opportunity to execute as a subcontractor for Axians, proceeded with a strong emphasis on ensuring comprehensive logistics processes within an international project. The project's goal was to create a modern system environment with SAP S/4HANA that ensures seamless coordination of processes across many different systems and locations.

In scope, this was an extraordinary project that, among other things, included a highly diverse form of production and EWM integration. From the perspective of internal logistics, it involved very complex processes with an emphasis on time and delivery quality. Thanks to the precise approach and flexibility on the customer's side, we achieved streamlining of logistics processes that will support further growth and customer satisfaction. Hauser thus confirmed its position as an international partner with high demands for quality and innovation in the field of cooling technology.

EWM ready in months

Subcontract for msg Plaut CZ s.r.o.

As an EWM subcontractor, we participated in the SAP S/4 Hana implementation project with MSG Plaut. The project started for us in autumn 2024, when the fit-gap analysis was complete, the scope was being refined, and process details were being resolved. The go-live was set for Q1/2025, which didn't provide much time. For some processes, we therefore searched for and offered various solution options (ideally without custom development). And in the end, everything was successful!

The main benefit was a rapid implementation based on standard functionalities, which brought efficiency and stable warehouse operation. According to the customer, our cooperation was very beneficial, the technical support during Go-Live was a great help, and we are very pleased with the positive feedback.

This project confirms that using simple and standard solutions in SAP EWM can significantly accelerate implementation and increase customer satisfaction while maintaining maximum system functionality.

And how does the customer evaluate our cooperation and its progress?

On the way to a new WMS

From requirements analysis, through process design proposals, to supplier solicitation. Collaboration in evaluating bids and selecting the most suitable solution.

Our company has reached a point where our current WMS is morally outdated, not helping to develop competitive advantage or new customer services, and it is necessary to implement a new system. In the first phase, this means analyzing current processes, IT environment, and new needs, preparing realistic and feasible requirements for the new solution, initiating a tender process and selecting a supplier. And because time is money in our case, the requirements for the new solution should be realistic and feasible based on currently known and proven market solutions.

I'm glad we're past this stage. The advisio.tech team helped us with it in a significant way. We managed it together in 3 months.

What do I appreciate most about the advisio.tech team? Their expertise and practical experience. They helped us navigate the issue and align vendor promises and customer wishes with reality. Over the past year, Euromedia Group has focused on innovation and seeking new solutions that have a positive impact on their end customers.

We had the opportunity to be part of several very interesting projects that the company undertook during this period, and after a year of collaboration, we asked Jan Kuneš (Director of Information Technology) to evaluate our partnership:

I first met advisio.tech s.r.o. at the end of the summer of 2021 when we decided to thoroughly review the IT architecture of the entire company, advisio.tech s.r.o. conducted a comprehensive review, cataloging our applications and services, and also contributed to the design of an optimal future architecture.

They also helped us with description of the processes from the customer order, through the warehouse, to its delivery. Together with our internal team, they identified various bottlenecks, searched for solutions and possible adjustments, and successfully implemented many of them both on the e-shop side and in logistics.

In the second half of last year, we also launched a project for a new platform that will host our e-shops. Colleagues from advisio.tech s.r.o. focused again on system architecture with focus on integrations, while also assisting us with defining technical requirements.
